Just letting as many people as possible know not to do any business with a starcars who advertise on the tradecarview web site, starcars have taken my money and has not delivered my evo and it's been months now and counting, to make matters worse these tradecar people claim not to take any responseability for the scammers they allow access to world customers and they also take no care in assisting me with catching up with these people who have changed the phone numbers and never reply to email, all of which shows tradecar is just as bad as the scammers who pay they for advertising access.....

so be careful and do NO business with these memtioned dealers/advertisers they are bad news and let anyone that you know who are into buying cars from japan to be awear of these scammers.

Any purchase of a car when you are not physcially present will be extremely risky for a number of reasons.

Comment #2 Tradecarview from Japan -

tradecarview.com, like most online services or newspaper classified advertising or magazine advertising, can not take responsibility for transaction taking place through our online system. We state very clearly in our terms of use that we do not take part in the transaction, which is why we do not charge a transaction fee.

Please see our terms of use here: http:// www.tradecarview.com/ termsofuse.aspx

We require all dealers listing cars on tradecarview.com to be legally existing. If a dealer changes their contact information, it is just as impossible for as to contact them as it is for anyone else.

That said, we estimate that thousands of transactions take place every month, with a VERY low rate of problems. Due to the complex nature of importing vehicles to the many differnt markets in the world, we do not recommend importing a vehicle without the help of an importing agent OR with adequate knowledge of the export/import process.

It is obvious from the comments above that this person has no experience importing cars. Had he used an importing agent that know what they are doing, it would have cost a bit more, but he still would have got a great deal.

Importing from Japan is full of dangers.Tradecarview don't vet or entertain any bad feedback about the trader's they list.If they were doing their duty they would de-list bad exporters. You can add Dukes International ltd to their bad traders. It will cause many problems for honest traders if these people are allowed to export rubbish cars.It cost me €800 to do undeclared repairs. The Japanese used vehicle exporters association are of no help either.Japan Partner also export poor quality vehicles though not yet part of Tradecarview.Importers whether trade or private rely on honest appraisals of the car's they are after. Sadly not all exporter's are honest and Tradecarview give them a platform to do their bad trading.

Comment #4 trade car fraudsters from -

tral purchase from tradecarview.com vehicles are mostly cars that cant be sold through auctions because of poor quality and mechanical failures do not buy from tradecar get yourself an auto agent who will check the car out for you and could save you alot of money on repair bills like the man with 800 euros worth thats if you recieve the vehicle at all the body work is allso of poor quality mostly disguised in the photos the grades they are giveing the cars are lies so you will buy iam talking through exsperiance.

Comment #5 Bubba from deep in your mind -

Why would anyone purchase any car they didn't have their personal mechanic inspect?
