1987 Toyota Supra $35,000

anti-fraud from usa -

The following email was interesting because I never advertised a "1987 Toyota Supra"... and this person readily accepted my price of $35, 000. You can see the key elements of fraud here. My answers to his questions boarder on absurd. With no information about the car he is willing to "pay" $35, 000. He wants to pay with a "cashiers check". He wants to pay too much. He wants the difference to be "wired" and send by "western union".

One interesting point is that these emails always ask for the "last price". Maybe that is just a difference in dialects of English, but in my mind it is poorly worded question.

I researched this model car on Kelley Blue Book. I used the most features, best condition and lowest milage possible. The private party value for this car is $3, 760. Obviously, no one is going to pay near $35, 000 or even entertain a discussion when someone suggests an asking price anywhere near that.

This email is from Nigeria according to the senders IP address and his request for where the money is to be sent. Remember, participating in the transaction will generate a net loss of $5, 000 plus your bank fees with the cashiers check bounces.

This posting will be forwarded to the Nigerian Ambassador to the United States for his comments on the activities of his countrymen and what their government is doing to stop this activity.
