WE NEARLY GOT SCAMMED...i was looking for a puppy to give to my dad so i surfed the net and found this ad in www.backpage.com. they were very cute yorkies and the man was very accommodating in answering my emails.the ad said that they were for adoption and all i have to do is pay $90 for shipping.so...i emailed them again and gave them my shipping details.since i'm not based in the US i asked my mom to check out the site and email him herself since the pups were to be delivered to them. thank god i did that because it gave me time to research....i went back to backpage.com to see if the add was still there...funny it was deleted. i emailed backpage and they replied that if it waS deleted it would've been a scam that's why it has been deleted.so thankfully i stopped my mom from paying.i am attaching the email addresses of the persons who have been emailing me and my mom...and hopefully this would help other people from being victims of this pet scams. these emails came from a lady named Solange Lum and her husband Anthony Tenning.

OMG!!! thank god you posted this because I was about to do the same thing!! i did a little research and i found that there are lots of "tening's" that are posted on different adds but the same pictures!!!! thank you so so so so much! the emails i was receiving are IDENTICAL to the ones above, word for word!!! the email they were using was santening@yahoo.com under the name anthony tening. BEWARE OF THE TENING puppy SCAM!!! I thought it was really weird because they did not answer my questions.... I told them i wanted the female and in the response they asked which one i wanted.... goes to show u cant trust anyone.

I got contacted to adopt a free dog and pay just shipping. Thankfully I realize it was a scam and tested it to be sure. I said I sent a blanket and never did. Both her email and the airline email she gave me is a scam. It seems real, but the airline email is fake!!! Here's the email correspondence.

I got in contact with the same guy to. Mr. Anthony Tenning, email: feel like feeling@yahoo.com (all in one word but this website did not let me post that, it said exceeded limit of 14 per word)

There is another one, Cludia Paccer (ruizpaccer@inbox.com). They both posted their ad for 2 free Yorkie Puppy in cathaylist.com.

There are multiple of them and all are free. Too good to be true.

You can try. I don't know if they can do anything because they're all the way in Cameroon Africa!

You can list 100 emails and it won't help... as it takes about 2 minutes to make a new email address.

The key elements of the fraud is:

1) The people are in africa though somtimes claim to be in the USA.

2) You need to pay via Western Union or other money transfer (no possibility of a refund).

Get real folks, do you really want a pet you haven't met first?

i was also scammed. I registered at a website that you have to pay membership to thinking it would be safe. I found a lady giving away a yorkie for shipping price only. She said she was a school teacher from america and had gone over there on missions only she couldn't keep the dog. So i sent her 175 western union to some wierd name in africa and then she emailed saying she needed more money. I then sent an addition 100 and she told me she would send me the information on when the dog would arrive. I then recieved a email that the dog was stuck and couldn't get into america without proper vet documentation which would be an addition 200 and I asked her for the airport the dog was stuck at and the number but she never got back to me.

OH MY GOD. I just got scammed by the same guy last week. I wasted $150. I was so upset. And after I gave him the $150 dollars, he asked for more saying the flight costed more than he expected. and tried to get me to send over $600. And I was like "NO WAY!" And then he got mad and sent me emails saying that "the dog was going to be put in a shelter place" and I was like "I don't care, I'm not giving you the money. That's too much and you're scamming me. Goodbye." I felt so stupid. And cried for hours because I thought I was stupid. I'm only fourteen! And he knew it! But yet, he still scammed me. What a heartless man. )':
