bulldog puppies is it a scam??

My brother is talking about getting two english bulldog puppies from a lady in germany. He is supposed to get the dogs for free but just has to pay shipping and handling. She says that she is going to send the puppies by way of jetpets animal transport. This seems to be a legitimate company but I think if it is too good to be true then it is probably a scam. I do not know why someone in germany would give puppies to someone in The US. If she is not able to take care of the puppies why not give them to a neighbor so she could visit with the puppies. I was wondering if anyone has any information that I could pass on to my brother about this being a scam. I appreciate any information that you can provide.

I think you can be pretty sure it is a scam. You also can have a hard time knowning where someone is actually located.

Once your asked to pay by Western Union you can be absolutely sure it is a scam.

All issues of scams aside.. I think you really want to personally meet and take home any new pet.

I agree. I would want to meet any new pet I was going to purchase. It turned out to be a scam. I told my brother not to send anything western union or money gram. I hope he listened. The woman trying to get him to pay for the shipping tried to use high pressure tactics on him and his wife. When they started to waver on sending the money she tried to tell them that the price would go up because they would have to pay for the food. She even had someone from "jetpets" contact them to arrange transportation. When the first call was disconnected they were even able to call them back. But this is when they asked for money to be sent western union or money gram. What company won't take a credit card? Remember if it sounds too good to be true is usually is.

Notice:

If 1. they asked you to just pay for the shipping and everything else is free. Yes! I bet it is a scam.

Or 2. if their English is pretty broken and always said "o.k" after the sentence like... Okay thanks for that okay so please i really need my puppy to a good home that is why and doing this...

3. Or they mentioned many things including using god's name or trying TOO hard to prove that they're not scamming you. Yes! It's is a scam.

4. Puppy is from Victoria Cameroon.

5. They want to wire your money to Western Union.

Here is the email they sent me. I sent them a very nasty email back. It's too nasty to even post it here. This guy's name is Anthony Tenning (feel like feeling@yahoo.com). I didn't even say anything or act like I was suspicious. I just said...I changed my mine and do not want to get puppy from them. here is what I got. What a dumb ass. He was the one who brought up the scamming thing.

Hello,

I understand that you are trying to be skeptical but i assure you that this is not what you think it is ok?i am a full flesh Christian that won't stood that law as to fraud. All i am interested in is a loving and caring home for this puppy and you have assured me that and i trust you.Now i want you to trust me as well in order to have this puppy ok? the money that you are sending is for the flight ticket and not for me right since i am giving them out for free? i have great respect and dignity for my family that i won't stood so low as to fraud people of their hard earn money all in the name of scam. That is awful and not in my religion. I would want you to give me your full trust ok, the pics i sent are the most recent pics of my puppies. I am God fearing and i do to others what i would want them to do to me ok?you haven't wrong me or my family in any way so why would i want to fraud you of your money? instead you are trying to do me a favor please don't think that ok, just get back to me with your full shipping details and i shall forward my Western Union payment details for you to make the payment. I could have love to accept another method of payment but it is rather unfortunate that Western Union is the only fastest means of Money transfer here in my Location.

Please email back asap so that i can have the puppy shipped asap.

God Bless

bulldog scam me too~~Yes, its a scam. I had the same frud situation. I responded to a ad on ebay that listed a free english bulldog in St. Louis MO. When I responded they were now in Africa on business and I was to pay $180.00 in shipping cost. and the money could only be sent western union, they wouldnt accept bank wire, or cash on delivery. They only wanted the western union. After emailing the person ten times or so they didnt want to talk to me any more. The english was poor, sentences ran together, and would call it puppy, baby, he/she, nothing was right. I mentioned a scam and they were very rude when they reponded.

Here is a email that will help anyone buying a new puppy

Nigerian "reverend" /bulldog puppies~~They almost had me! I am a pug lover and usually pugs are "paired". I recently lost one of my babies, and am thinking about replacing it with a bulldog.I had NO idear that bull dogs were so expensive, so when a REverend Darlene Smith, on missionary work in Nigeria would sell her newly purchased English Bull dogs to me for $1000.00, I was so excited. After connversing with this person for 2 days, him blessing me and telling me thatGod has sent me to take care of "his babies", I just got a funny feeling. I said that I had borrowed the money, and the conditions were that the lender had at least 2/possibly 3 references. The reverend said that they did not know people well enough.and on and on..RED FLAG.I did get the money out of the bank but last night took all of the communication to my neighbor's house. Thank God, he works for the FBI- criminal division/fraud. He said IT IS A SCAM, LOOK FOR WIRE MONEY ONLY...they cannot trace it, and anyone claiming to be a "pastor, Revernd"ect.

I am so sad about my pups, but even sadder people are so heartless

Dog Lover~~SCAM SCAM SCAM. I spoke with someone with the email address "babarah emma" . This person stated they had bulldog pups for free and would ship them to me. He sent pictures, etc. The listing for the dog showed Petersburg Virginia, which is close to me. When I spoke with him he stated I could not see the pups because he lived in Oregon. When I questioned this, he said his wife died in a car accident about 2 weeks ago, and he moved then. When the email came from Jetpets Animal Transport...it looked like a scam. The email had mispelled words, images from other companies webpages etc. When I questioned him about this, he did not respond, and has not responded as of yet. I am very disappointed as I thought I was going to be a getting my first puppy. More disappointed that an idiot tried to scam me.

Omg bulldog scam~~Ok so I found this add on craigs list for 2 adorable bulldogs that only ha to weeks to be shipped to the states because a wife and her family was on a un volunteer mission in camaroon and could not have the puppies in the country wll all they were asking for was $280... The cost of the air conditioned crate for the puppies to be shipped in. I was 2 seconds from doing it till I decided to look up Victoria camaroon and came across this site and tons of other ones with similar stories. This happened today. Here is the fort initial email the person sent::: Thanks for the mail and interest in the little girl and boys. I am sorry for the late response, we were busy trying to get some stuffs for our new home. they are  14 weeks old and their name Daisy and  Jones. Daisy is our darling angel girl  while the male is Jones. We love them so much but its unfortunate that we cant even give them the love and affection we have in our hearts . We are on a volunteer mission to Cameroon together with the UN malaria committee , in regards to the disease in pregnant women and children. We traveled up here together with Daisy  Baby , Jones and my daughter. They wont allow The Puppies  into the country for reason being that, pets are not allowed into the country from other countries and i have been given a maximum of 2 weeks to send them back to the states. So that is the reason i have to find for them a home back in the states where they will be showered with all that love and affection. Hope you wont mind if i ask you a few questions:

        Do you have kids?

Do you have any experience with puppies?

Are you a breeder or will you breed her in the future if i let you have her?

Will you send us updates about her from time to time and pictures?

I am just being concerned about the type of home they will be going to , so that is why i am curious to know. We love them so much and we want to make sure goes to a family that will show them the affection they deserves. They are health guaranteed, A KC registered and will come along with all their papers, diapers, dog blanket, play toys, crate and food menu. They are  very playful and go along with kids and other home pets. They love to be held and cuddled and sometimes wants all the attention for them . So if you can stand the chance of taking them home, you will only need to buy them a new travel crate because the one she came in with is bad it will cost just $280 for them to get a new crate , this money for crate will be paid   directly to the airport to provide the travel crate .. But i am sorry i first of all need to know the answers to my questions before i will know if we can proceed with the re-shipping arrangements.Waiting to read from you soonest look the 2 puppies and tell which you are interested in .
