I am having a real problem mustering up any sympathy for you people who get scammed for trying to buy monkeys, or especially chimpanzee's as "pets". If you want to "help" a primate, donate to one of the wildlife funds, and help stop the illegal trafficking of these animals.If you want a pet, get one that has been domesticated for hundreds of years, a dog or a cat.

You have a very good point. However, remember the Cameroon (and other scammers) are also "selling" dogs.

The fact that importing monkeys to the usa is illegal is not an excuse for scammers to ply their trade.

It might be a good idea for the appropriate agency to run a monkey sting and bust some of those people looking to illegally import pet monkeys.

its not the people who got scammed fault. its sad when you trust someone enough to send money to have a special addition added to your family be it a dog/cat/bird/ yes or a monkey.

its not right for people to trick people out of the money they worked hard to get. these people should be ashamed of themselves. im sure if they looked hard enough they could find some honest job!

I think if you visited Cameroon that you'd find the job market is a lot different than Pittsburgh...
